No, it did work and does work We were not poor, our rent was set based on income Crime was no worse than in other areas HUD decided it didn’t want to obviously continue to invest in certain housing communities Many residents wanted to stay in their community because of the love, support and PRIDE Just like many tax payers dollars, they continue to displace African Americans at the expense of white people
