A lesson I learned after watching countless AAA movies and games: Cutting edge VFX only works as a supplement to superior story, great characters, and well thought out pacing I'd rather have good story with great characters that's paced right instead of waiting a decade for a 3hr cut of render intensive VFX

I'm sad to hear they used 48 fps for the action scenes I probably won't watch it now Also 3D is horrible with the glasses, and it's hard to find 2D showings I guess I'll have to stream it and try to force it back to 24 fps

and the worst thing ever was the desicion he made to make the movie in variable frame rate, it was disgusting, i paid HFR on the imax to see all on 48 fps, the constant switch back and forth was horrible, thats why you had 24 fps version for those that dont like itbrbr10:04 i actually noticed very, specifically the boat scene was horrific how it changed constantly, would have been better if cameron allowed us that like 48 fps to expereince it fully or at the very least had the FULL action scene in 48 fps

I saw the film a few weeks ago in an IMAX 3D theatre and the switching between framerates was horrible for me They were way too noticeable and distracted me from the movie multiple times My brother had the same though
