In the time you wait to save up for 1 oz, the price of gold could have gone up Comment from : @zethmox |

I stack purely for my own amusement If it's within my means I'll buy it I only care about receiving what I payed for so I only buy insured online Comment from : @Noble_Salvation |

$500 1/4 ounce 😂classic Comment from : @mthlay15 |
Saving up for a whole ounce was a long slog for me and I was more than tempted on many occasions to go fractional The price of gold felt like it was running away from me I opted to stay the course and work toward that first full ounce The feeling of accomplishment was worth it!brbrI suppose fractional coins can get you on a schedule and build a habit while also giving you a "quick hit" of a coin in hand The temptation for a non-US fractional is scratching at me again but I think I'm going to cool my jets It would be fun to get but it won't be as amazing as that first full ounce Comment from : @BorisLikesBonds |
Since 2 to 300 is all i can spend 1/10th gold coins is my limit Comment from : @chrisbytwerk3712 |
Thank you for this vital information am from Zimbabwe Africa how can i purchase fractional gold coins Comment from : @VivaChristJesus |
10 gram gold bars are effectively 1/3rd of an oz and an option to consider versus 1/4oz Gold Eagle or Maple Leafs Comment from : @superstar5123 |
sure premiums are crazy but it's the future coin that people will be able to afford therfore making them even more liquid than they are now Comment from : @BoxBear33 |
I like fractional gold Comment from : @FromAmericaToJapan |
Skip fractionalz den Comment from : @UHaulTV |
What I like to do is buy at the minimum Three 1 oz gold coins every year usually I get a gold buffalo a gold maple and a gold Britannia and maybe I'll get a 1 oz gold kangaroo Krugerrand or eagle to go along with them but I love fractional gold because if I have ever have to use gold for bartering 1/10th oz coins are perfect for that and if I need a quick $500 I can take a 1/4 oz coin to my LCS and sell it also my LCS will knockdown the premium on fractional gold if you trade in silver for it which is another nice incentive Comment from : @jdg_5175 |
Good show I like fractional but trying to keep premiums down now Comment from : @MetalBum |
Premiums are much lower on European 19th and early 20th century gold coins I guess because they are either 900 or 917 fine they are discounted but I like the smaller sizes and the ease of recognition (at least for me) I have bought these coins for premiums ranging from 2 to 5 although they have been increasing lately Comment from : @sstrauss6752 |
The way I've looked at it is that if I had only the one ounce option to choose from, I'd prob never have goldbrbrThe 1/4 ounce is nice because it allows me a good entry price while still maintaining a budget outside of the gold marketbrbrPlus, one quarter ounce a month to show for your work and effort is nice Comment from : @Souleaterfan100 |
Excellent video You have to buy gold within our budget I like quarter ounce gold coins They fit within my budget quite well Comment from : @timothythompson4036 |
Mnandi bogg oak gorgeous Comment from : @user-xq7mv1if4e |
Help a newbie understand fractional!! brbrThe premiums on fractional metals are so high Why would you want to purchase fractional instead of saving the cash until you can purchase a 1oz coin/bar? brbr(10) 1/10oz coins will cost you significantly more than a 1oz of the same coin Comment from : @kian925 |
I am really bad at mathcan you please make a video explaining how to calculate percentages on premiums for fractional gold ? Comment from : @masterofnone11 |
The Count of Monte Cristo I love not-so-subliminal messages! They inspire me Comment from : @squigglove |

Great videos 👏🏼brJust discovered your channel recently and enjoy all your videos I am planning on budgeting and buying around 1/10th of an ounce per month just as a way to build a small side investment (I have some real estates investment already) Although not a big amount I feel that 1/10th of an ounce per month will basically go unnoticed in my spendingsbrI am from France so I might consider the 10 Francs rooster del29g of gold/del (or 20 Francs « napoleon » as we call them here -58g of gold-), also because i can see that the premium on some web sites are about 6 « only » brI like the quality of 24carat so might just consider the 1/10th of ounce maple leaf Could you please do a special video on the 20franc rooster coin ?brThanks for your videos Comment from : @issam8290 |
I found two and maybe more reasons down the line to buy 1/10 oz of gold because it is liquid and eventually trade it for a 1oz gold Comment from : @jrtjonathanwinchell3955 |
Boy is this video out of date Premiums have doubled and tripled Comment from : @jimross2101 |
There is a 450$ difference between buying a 1 oz coin vs 4,1/4 oz coins, that’s a lot Better off saving for the 1 oz Comment from : @Whateva67 |
I do a bit of a variation of what you mentioned about buying a full ounce every 4 months I only buy gold eagles and I'll buy a full ounce every 4 months and I'll buy a 1/10 ounce every 2 weeks So far it's really helped me stack a lot of gold and the 1/10 ounce coins really keep me motivated as I see the tube get more and more full! Comment from : @Mrmikeytheaccountant |
Is that like FRACTIONAL BANKING? Comment from : @brexit9279 |
Great content! Do you have any videos explaining how premiums work, both buying and selling? Can you link? Comment from : @cryptonbarton6717 |
I collect both silver and gold but favour gold now and in my opinion whatever I spend is money not in the corrupt banks whatever happens, these assets are held by you and will always be worth something no matter what the world is heading for a big change so get what you can Comment from : @robertu2198 |
Lovely stuff Great advice, lovely tone and well thought-out and reasoned Thanks! Comment from : @NickCadmium |
Love the inlay on that Mnandi! I just started following you But if you haven’t done a knife collection video I’d love to hear about that! Comment from : @mmaine1072 |
I'm new at this Isn't it better to get a quarter ounce of gold because it will be affordable for others to buy it? Comment from : @phoenix-wc5vx |
A full ounce of gold would represent more than 5 of my investment portfolio, which I'm not comfortable doing Comment from : @LarsLarsen77 |
I just bought my first gold buffalo Comment from : @marcogarcia3064 |
I’m stacking for as much ounces I can yearly I found I can stack up to 2oz’s of gold a year by buying 5 gram bars once a month I usually buy an extra 5 gram bar a month when I can afford it Comment from : @kennyt8016 |
I haven't even bought any yet but am learning a ton from channels like this one Thanks 2 is 1 Anyway, one of the things that appeals to me regarding fractionals is the flexibility when selling If I need to part with some of it I don't want to have to sell more than I need to just because all I have is 1 oz coins because I was trying to save on premiums which in the grander scheme of things later will likely seem pretty insignificant IMHO Even though the silver is more likely to be used for my purchases (barter) depending on values of each in the future I may opt to part with a small amount of gold instead of the silver I'm thinking a bit of diversification in denominations is probably wise with both gold and silver Larger items for saving (wealth preservation) and smaller ones for actual purchasing/bartering and liquidating as needed Comment from : @WhoWouldWantThisName |
would love to see a video on the Britannia and sovereign coins if you've got them in particular, a 1/4oz britannia vs a full 22k soverign which around 1/4oz fine gold Comment from : @tru3163 |
I love 1/4oz gold American Eagles because of the size, popularity for selling, and price point which is approximately the same as a tube of Silver Eagles I thought they were about the right "cost" when I started buying them - paid about $300 each - and thought they would be easier to sell I've sold a few of them on eBay over the years when prices spiked and they sell way above spot and sell very quickly Comment from : @TheSilverState |
I'm starting to like the 1/2 oz AGE Comment from : @raymondnoya5653 |
What do you think of gold back certificate Comment from : @ffhy6134 |
Fractional helps cure fomo by allowing you to keep purchasing every month even when the prices going up it's got nothing to do with lack of patience or the inability to save up for a full ounce coin Comment from : @Mauitaoist |
I personally don't worry about the premiums I do shop around I do have some fractional gold and silver for different bartering Primarily my stacking is for the long term so I'm not selling some is getting passed down to my two kids and possibly get my grandkids into it Right now there under 4 so it will be awhile before they would understand it Comment from : @kateburley5377 |
Basic rule: 1 ozt of gold is better than fractional because of premiums but fractional gold is better than none Comment from : @drakesavory2019 |
I buy stocks and crypto on scheduled payments For precious metals it's more of a one off thing Like when I have extra money laying around and stocks or crypto are not at a low price I'll buy some metals and slowly add to my stack over time It's the best for me as I'm young and working on my future! Any tips I'd gladly take into account US and RCM all the way! Cheers everyone! Comment from : @MRkriegs |
Great video You are easy to listen to Comment from : @sethweiss2509 |

Hello, I'd like to ask should we be buying gold now? Or wait for it to drop? Or what should we do? brbrI want to buy some coins, but the current prices are the highest they ever been Comment from : @Aka-fs3zs |
First 2 things i cut out my life in 2022 were uber eats and fractional gold Comment from : @goldenpunk6303 |
What knife is that? Comment from : @marcs8991 |
I agree with ya, I am all about the full ounce and the 1/4 oz, just depends on timing and monthly going ons! I haven't done the 1/10 route, but I do have a few 1/2 oz AGE too Buy what you can! Comment from : @72cmcinc |
🍺 Comment from : @pearleelife |
I’m not really into fractional gold just because of the higher premiums I’ll always hold off to buy an ounce at a time I know some people can’t do that so I really wouldn’t go any less than a 1/4 ounce Buying some pre 33 is fun sometimes as well Comment from : @GoldAdventureswithBrett |
At some point it would be great if you could explain the reason for the higher premium on fractional I have a decent understanding of economics but this escapes me Comment from : @rodgerjohnson3375 |
With fractional you can better catch each dip in price can gain more than you lose with higer premium Comment from : @k30v6xxzeapm |
I'm all for a European fractional gold video lol I say we vote 😂😂😂 ✅ Comment from : @Au_God |
Really like this video, good info Personally I prefer the 1oz for the lower premiums But if the price of gold increases dramatically, I may need to consider fractional gold as an alternative to the 1 ozbrbrOn a side note, what I’m starting to appreciate about your channel is that you are non-political I’m glad you don’t “rant” like some of the other YouTubers do about politics and make baseless accusations of one sort or another If I wanted to watch that drivel, I can hop over to Left or Right wing media for that Thanks for keeping it real 👍 Comment from : @stormforge68 |
I prefer half-ounce gold, in the form of Eagles, Pandas, and just a few Krugerrands Started buying them in the early 90s but quit buying when the price of gold started going up Wanting to get back into buying some more, but now I'm retired and don't have as much disposable income Comment from : @joecausey8508 |
Even if you put aside as little as $100 a week, you’ll still wind up with more than 2 ounces of Gold every year brI generally am able to stack 2 or even 3 ounces of Gold every year, and it’s not overly stressful on my budget Comment from : @mikeoneil5770 |
I bought fractionals for that potential hyperinflation disaster I got coins of all sizes from 1 gram to 1oz in case I wanted to barter with them But mostly what I have is 1 oz coins Comment from : @huwhitecavebeast1972 |
I bought a coin storage box and they put in like 10 27mm capsules as a giftbrI only stack 1oz Britannia But 27mm is the size of the 1/2 Britannia, so here I am aiming to fill those capsules up now Comment from : @hongkongcardistryclub5953 |
I'll be in the fema camper for up to 15 months with no rent, no electric ,water, gas bills I may end up enjoying this place after all 🥇🥈🥉 Comment from : @Todd4America |
Can you talk about gold bars and other gold weights Comment from : @philv3683 |
👍 Comment from : @robertkeating1899 |
That box elder mnandi is nice!🍻 Comment from : @jimmytwotone2127 |
I can’t tell you why I bought some fractional For the unknown? It was just part of my plan 3 ounces of fractional, 2 1/2 oz, 4 1/4 oz and 10 1/10th oz not going to lie it was painful on the 1/10 oz, I went with the cheapest I could buy I think mine say Wal-Mart on them,,kidding but I did buy the 1/4 and 1/10 from the Austrian mint As a new stacker, I’ve got this thing in my head that I want only the 24 ct gold So that is what I Stack Mostly buffaloes or maples But there is no comparison in quality, the maples look so much nicer than the buffaloes to me But I have to remind myself why I am buying and looks don’t matterwhy am I buying?good content as always Comment from : @gregjohnson5175 |
👍 Comment from : @fromontario6954 |
Trying to do 1/4 each month If I can't I'll drop down to 1/10 Thank you for sharing Comment from : @B29p |
Yes, buying fractional gold makes sense-even if it doesn’tbrAgreed! Comment from : @tommystacker3286 |
I picked up a BU Swiss Miss last Saturday for 364 That’s 10$over spot I feel I did good on that one as I’m sure I’ll never get better than 90 spot when I sell to a LCS That being said A private party sale while not ideal isn’t out of my wheelhouse, so I don’t feel bad about a random purchase from time to time My next purchase will definitely be a 1/4oz eagle so back to the core plan friend As always keep ‘‘em coming 2/1 You are appreciated!!! Comment from : @craigj1479 |
I love fractional gold! I had a lot of small gold pesos but a YouTuber broke down the math/$$$ that in the long run, it’s smarter to buy the 1oz so I’m saving up for a 1oz age this year Comment from : @oldmanjenkins771 |
I buy fractional bi-weekly WIfe doesn't say anything when it's $200 to $400 no problem $2k I will hear it Buy what you can afford, but make sure you buy gold and silver Comment from : @daleyfamily2179 |
I'd love to know your pocket knife budget Fractionals are the the only way us sub $300 knife guys get anything saved Please leave a knife model on your description page 👍😆 Comment from : @mickeyhire4074 |
saw that two 5 oz Perth Mint lunar tigers was actually less than one 1 oz Perth Mint lunar tiger so that was an easy decision will continue to do that if that opportunity comes again Comment from : @jus-tinkin |
If I could get fractional's for a reasonable premium I would buy them Comment from : @glenh4971 |
I prefer 10 oz bars myself 😎 Comment from : @AbrahamLincoln22 |
I know this sounds crazy and totally against what seems rational, but I believe gold will crash soon I looked at the chart and it seems a bit high Should I wait? Hmmm I’m not sure Comment from : @mrmostlyharmless |
I know it's a gold channel but would love to hear more about your knives, your collection of card decks, favorite book that you've been using as a frame filler for the shots Maybe just a one off about those things and the reason for the interest in them, and your interest in poker To learn more about you without giving any seriously persona info away Comment from : @bonsaipiper3773 |
Just bought 1/2 oz eagle today Normally I don’t buy fractional but with the price increase this is me trying to be conservative and see if it goes back down Can totally relate to who wants to wait to buy Comment from : @MarsblissGuidedMeditation |
Always love the content! Also love the sovereign cards I have the white and the blue I’d like to see a video on your knives as well All the best from the 🇬🇧 Comment from : @GrandChamp1992 |
WHAT THE FRAC??? Comment from : @donaldinnewmexico |
Like you I prefer I oz but sometimes do not have the cash, so I have two one oz (Buffalo and Eagle) one 1/2 oz Eagle, one 1/2 Walking Liberty and one 1/4 oz Eagle I won't buy any smaller due to high premium My preference is always Buffalo or best deal I can get on US gold Comment from : @luisperna6308 |
When I started my procurement of gold way back I was getting tenth Oz eagles for 160 and quarter Oz for 320 it takes time and patience but if you buy them rather than buying a full Oz you'll eventually be happy you have them rather than no gold at all Comment from : @platinumgnome3887 |
I still like fractionalsthanks for the content Comment from : @silverstethoscope65 |
How fun was that?! Always love the little quips after statements like "not judging" Nice to see the French Rooster out of the coop! Comment from : @firstlast-mi2pj |
I never sell fractional to a dealer Locally everyone will give me back my premium or even more depending how current prices are It’s also much easier to sell fractional locally compared to a full ounce Comment from : @joseph1895 |
I'm always out to find a better dealso I feel like if I buy an oz and the price drops tomorrow morning, ouch But if I buy a quarter and the price drops tomorrow morning, oh well Quarters also don't hit the bank account too bad (about the same as another gun, lol) and can slide under the radar easier Comment from : @calebdoner |
500$ is a semi reasonable impulse buy for me, 2k is a major purchase I think this is not uncommon Shame bars and metric are shunned in merica 10g is a great size Comment from : @aaronschen9896 |
I will stick to 1oz unless it gets to around 4k Comment from : @dark_winter8238 |
Fractional because cheaper and won't mess you up Once in a while I found circulated fractional at 5 over spot and thats a steal Comment from : @eragon1193 |
