This showed up just now Best timing about art and those creating it I had a heart attack in August and died for 6 minutes Art has always been my escape I have an unknown muscle condition that literally is pulling my joints apart, causing all my fingers to shift out of place I can or could draw before I died I haven't recovered completely I don't know if I suffered any brain damage I know it's going to be a long road back My absolute best to all!

I'm an a disabled performance artist, working in opera Spaces like these are so vital, so important, and they demonstrate what disabled folks have always known: that our art is not only valid, but important Spaces for disabled folks don't have to be medicalized to exist I am so, so glad to know the Creative Growth Art Center creates space for disabled artists Thank you ✨
