This happened to me my second year of college Somehow I got a reputation for being a womanizer despite not having done anything wrong, and the “good girls” at parties were told to watch out for me After struggling against the label for 3 months I gave up and became a player It took 7 years after that decision for me to come to change myself back to the person I wanted to be, and it was much harder because I had years of playing into the label that a couple of bored girls decided to put on me Now I’m happily married with two kids, and life is amazing But be warned, labels are powerful if you let other people’s definitions of you have power over you
