He rigged the machine by putting the hump of quarters at the edge when pressure is applied at the bottom back the coins slide under the other coins severely slowing down the light items on top

I honestly think that the scratch off ticket was blocking not only the owner's return, but a good majority of a quarters that would have otherwise gone to the right because watching the video I noticed that almost every big push got blocked by that scratch off preventing it from going to the right and forcing it to go more to the left
