I was afraid it would made my life worse and afraid my son would be harrassed so i went to court, or he used forgiveness thing, whats worse its destroyed my life to the point not getting believed, he knew what to say or do certain ways certain places, and , went through this twice, had so many losses, trying to movenot being believed, or teying to speak up, only to feel alone back to silence, sometimes because i didnt want to think about it in the past, I dont think I will ever get into another relationship, trust, or let any man that used my faith for his use, or fun again Comment from : @Leannot35 |

I can guarantee you that in real life the police will laugh at you, shame you and tell you it’s a civil matter and not a crime and make you feel even worse than before you called Especially if you’re a man Cruel world but I’m saying this from experience Doesn’t matter if you’re bloody, bruised, stalked, harassed, loose everything by way of what the laws ‘claim’ to be a crime like making someone loose multiple jobs based off lies meant to blackmail, threatens your children, your reputation , talked to like a dog until you literally feel like nothing This country seriously needs to do some work because going to a judge for a TPO is not feasible for most people who live through this Emergency means help now! In fact, a TPO could only put you in more danger from the person the way the system is now The abuser will only use that to threaten more pain and God forbid they feel empowered by having destroyed your defenses… Comment from : @Ben-eh2bq |

My husband drugged me with date rape drug what I woke up all I could move was my eye balls ,my babygirl was screaming for me and to try wake my husband up all I could do is try scream loud enough he wake up I was paralyzed I found the lil piece paper on the drug he drugged me with ,I went to battered woman's center and nothing was ever done to prosecute him no help or charges for what he did to me ,another time he punched me behind my ear cause if I would not have turned he would have punched my baby in my arm in her face if I wouldn't have turned he would have punched my lil girl in her face he would have broke bones in her face and knocked her totally out probably destroyed everything on her beautiful face ,and still he got nothing got away with it no one no cop press charges on him I'm still devastated over what he did to me my baby Comment from : @aprilyoung3903 |

I live in Seattle The city with more social services than streets 75 of them are useless Seattle has one of the best police There is NO WAY they would sit down with a DV victim like this because they are short handed and they told me the worst calls are DV because the victim will suddenly attack the officer trying to help DV causes extremely mental illness I survived because people in my community gave me directions, support, and work This video makes this look like it’s so civilized It’s not Comment from : @jocelynnowen3078 |

Which police station do i call to get police like this? Because in my experience, not one police officer (in the usa) in the last 12 years has been kind to me I am questioned and reprimanded for having contact (that i didnt initiate) with him There has been a local warrant for his arrest for 7 months, and another in a different state for 2 years I get better results calling my local crisis center for help Comment from : @aginggenxer |

My family doesn’t understand why I stayed with my abusive husband, until I left a year-ago Abusers “brainwash” their partners Slowly, you begin to believe the abuse is normal It doesn’t matter how many friends and family members try convincing you otherwise, a precipice has to occur before the abusee leaves It took me almost eleven years What was my precipice? Sadly, watching my puppy being abused by him Thankfully, we’re both out of the “relationship” Comment from : @denisek292 |
|
Of only the police acted like this lol what a joke Comment from : @Meleray1 |
|
LoL "If we are nice to you for ten minutes after you've been battered for 6 years, it'll make all the difference in the world!" Not really how it works and therapy didnt help me What DID help me break out was a network of friends available through the computer 24/7 and the police officer putting her arm on my hand and telling me after my questioning "You can NEVER see this guy again" That and the receptionist who said "If you continue seeing him, you will sit here beaten black and blue next time" I obeyed them both and never saw him again He turned out to be a schizophrenic with introverted psychopathy, I'm still afraid of him to this day and he lives across from me Comment from : @Vixinaful |

This is so typical of how white, privileged, liberal women have selfishly and simplistically taken over the dialogue of IPV and portray themselves as the victims who suffer by the hand of men You are behind the curve It is NOT about you, it is about power dynamics and violence that affects men and women, all races, identities, classes and educational backgrounds It is way bigger than you Wake up and get over your victimhood and work to end violence against all beings Comment from : @Overthetop242 |
|
