A question: Regarding the items listed on the Cyberpsychology Effects slide While I am willing to admit that the effect is more severe online, I think it is worth noting that many of these effects exist even without technology I can write a letter and enjoy the same degree of anonymity that typing online could afford me The difference is in the speed and convenience that technology affords me As for many of the rest of the effects, finding common communities of interest even in person could show many of these same effects Again, this is amplified by the convenience and speed by which we can find them through technology but I don't know that these effects can be claimed to be exclusive to the cyber domain or the use of technology The concept that people change how they act online into either who they truly are or who they want to be could also be viewed through the lens of an author writing a book While I will admit that that the handwritten word is a dying art, I don't think we can tie these effects just to the online experience and technology

I'm excited that there is a chance to get a PHD in Cyberpsychology! I have a masters in clinical/counseling psychology I think adding the cyber component is exponential!

This is exciting and revolutionary I have a BS in Psychology and currently enrolled in an MHA program In a recent discussion board about texting and driving, I brought up how an individual’s behavior patterns with their mobile devices impacts their likelihood to text while driving I’m so interested in this specialty and considering applying to a program after finishing my MHA

Thank you for this very informative overview of the discipline of Cyberpsychology I only just discovered this field, and the path I took to get here could even be a topic of research in the field! From a LinkedIn post of someone starting their Doctoral Degree at CTU to finding their website, and now finding this intro into Cyberpsychology lecture on YouTube I'm hooked, and will be interested in finding out more!
