The zero point foods are healthy It’s really hard to over eat those foods Comment from : Eli Rex |
The point of zero point foods is to teach you to make better choices Not to tell u it has no calories Ww really isnt based off of calories You could easily have a 100 calorie item that is alot of points because of the macros of that item Also, most people are not going to eat an island full of food like in this video unless they struggle with binge eating Comment from : Tina Sayers |
Here is how to lose weight from somebody who was over 350 poundsbrbrEat healthy foods not less foods Don't count calories it's a lie, Eat food from the Earth not from a lab What I mean by that sentence is eat homemade chicken breasts broccoli asparagus lean meat and all that stuff And exercise exercise exercise Exercise for at least an hour a week I am now a healthy 190 pounds, And it only took me over a year and a half just by following these simple rules Weight watchers just prays on people's disparity who are obese I've been there until I started watching these YouTube videos about how to actually lose weight by eating quality not quantity foods and that change my life Is weight watchers is all about calorie restriction and it's all a lie Comment from : David |
that was my whole problem with the change to their zero foods, I mean come on! Overeating zero point foods will still cause you still stall or even gain weight Comment from : Kristen Taylor |
Created by someone who never had issues with overeating You're entitled to this opinion but labeling it as "the problem" is misleading to those with disordered eating I dare you to even eat all of those blueberries I'll waitStudies have shown that overweight people's brains react differently when given high calorie dense foods especially fat and carbs combined My brain loves fatty food Give me 1lb of ribeye, I will overeat 1lb of nonfat cottage cheese, not so much This screams of someone who has been thin most of their life and doesn't understand human behavior Comment from : Shellie Jones |
Everything counts in some way, whether for better or worse What matters most is what the food we consume does metabolically after it’s in our body Does it help or hinder the metabolic state of our cells whenever the cells take in the nutrients? Does it cause storage or burning of energy, and what effect does it have on our mitochondria The fiber in whole fruits will offset SOME of the fructose Yet, as you state in the video, too much is not good because it hinders mitochondrial functioning and shifts the body towards energy storage (weight gain) Comment from : Nick Roland |
All that stuff you just listed barely has any calories And people will get full before they can overeat in calories because of how much protein there is in them I don’t see anyone eating over 2k calories in meat and produce in one day The dairy products I would limit Comment from : Steven |
That’s why u should track in a calorie tracker to make sure u aren’t over eating Comment from : Shanell Rodriguez |
I avoided weight watchers for years Started this year and wish I had sooner It trains you to make healthy choices And nobody is going to eat all that for breakfast anyway so you're reaching Comment from : Tam Momma |
That isn't a WW problem, it's a person not reading or understanding how the 0 point foods work and are designed to be used 😂 Comment from : purpledragonfly4 |
But nobody would eat all that in one sitting It would be too difficult due to the fiber in the fruit and protein in the yogurt You'd get sick of eating before you got through like 1/5 of that Also I lost 90lbs on WW and my best friend list 75 and kept it off many years now It teaches portion control generally It's hard to over eat 0 point foods For most people looking to lose weight, we over eat sweets and/or processed foods So overeating fruit or veggies/eggs in place of those will inherently be better until you learn better as you go along Comment from : S Rae |
I just started weight watchers and so far I have stayed away from the ritz crackers and the bowls of cereal for example and focused on the 0 point foods which allows me to still consume less calories when I choose fruit or veggies They put in there website very small disclaimer to eat in moderation that’s the key 😅 Comment from : Dominiques Daily Dose |
Literally nobody does WW like that though! I honesty do think it’s a good program to help teach intuitive eating eventually as well as helping you learn to have healthy habits and eat 80/20 Comment from : Natalie Findley |
Well 100 pounds lost so apparently it works Comment from : Lisa Long |
There zero points but dont eat all of it in one sitting 😂 Comment from : Cozy Sims |
This judgement was so cringe I could never Comment from : VivaFamilia |
Oh, you ONE of those people… Comment from : Cherry Wilson |
The point of zero point foods aren’t to eat as much as you want but to help you build a foundation of healthy foods/snacks to keep you fuller and less likely to binge And it’s basically plain air popped popcorn that’s zero points, not heavily buttered/flavored popcorn I’ve tried several calorie counting diets and have failed every single time because I was always hungry Ww helps you to track what and how much you’re eating if you use it right I started two weeks ago and have already lost 16 pounds We’re their business, if you aren’t losing weight on weight watchers you aren’t going to keep your subscription to their program Comment from : tami hooper |
Weight Watchers definitely works I’ve lost tons of weight on it Comment from : Andrew Parsons |
it junk food making us fat- not the healthy stuff , eat all the vegt you want , you wont get fat Comment from : Cat Cls920 |
Ive just started WW brYou cannot eat all of that( there is a nutritional guideline to the portion that you can have) Comment from : estelle downing |
Great job being willfully ignorant Comment from : Craig |
Misinformation at its finest Comment from : Paige M |
I don’t think you understand how Weight Watchers works lol Comment from : Pat Fussy |
Yogurt is bad for you!! Look it up Google will tr8ll you 😮 Comment from : Sandy McDaniel |
This short is stupid af Comment from : Claire |
I love how this video is titled “The problem with WW point system” because they provide absolutely no researched rebuttal as to how it’s flawed? Comment from : Aegon756 |
This is the dumbest video ever The idea is that real whole foods (that you wouldn’t binge on) are zero points so that you start every meal with these as a base and when you are hungry during the day you reach for fruit and veggies and not cookies Comment from : Evelyn Perrine |
ok but like obsessive calorie counting is disordered and can cause an ED just let people use ww and stop belittling their point system Comment from : shes_haileybear🥰 |
Weight Watchers 100 works So not sure what the points of this was Lol Comment from : Charlene Holt |
Hold on Not all calories are the samebrEgg calories are very different than candy calories Comment from : Kitty Snow |
She sounds like a drug addict getting their drugs from the dealer She can’t wait to get to the dealer so that she can purchase the drugs Comment from : Factphobic |
Amber is being so manipulative Yes WW has got the restaurant app but it is intended to be used sparingly and in a manner that you are not using it quite often because you are eating healthy food at home Amber wants to eat She wants to eat whatever she wants to eat She wants to eat however, amount she can eat and this is just a mind game that she is playing so that she can do the one thing she wants to do witches eat large quantities of processed quickly received hi fat, high sugar and high salt food Comment from : Factphobic |
If Amber’s lease is due to end in three months, that means that her and Jay sign the lease in September when she initially moved in and when Becky was still in the house Comment from : Factphobic |
Nobody is going to sit there and eat that amount of zero points foods Don't be ridiculous Comment from : Maddy Steele |
The problem is that you also have to have common sense Most people understand that food still has calories and you have to eat in moderation People who like to perpetuate the stigma of weight watchers just don’t understand it It helps a lot of people Let’s not look down on a good thing Comment from : Angela Odess |
Sure I crash dieted during the past 40 years This is far more balanced, and you get tired quickly of zero point foods so you don't eat too much anyway Comment from : RB Johnson |
Sure, all those "zero point foods" are enticing You'd be surprised how quickly the shine of that concept wears off, though Popcorn is NOT a zero calorie food for me If it was, I could self limit because I want BUTTER on it (which has tons of points) Comment from : RB Johnson |
You can’t over eat Whole Foods No one has ever had to smack an egg outta my hand, just saying 🤷🏻♀️ Comment from : LoriLou Who |
I started weight watchers with my mom and its so confusing, I had a bowl of the serving size of Special K cereal and milk and hit 1/3 of my pointsso basically I was out of points and I had only eaten 783 cals for the day Comment from : darlingdior |
Plus she’s not gonna eat ALL that food anyway Comment from : Miranda Decker |
You don’t gain weight from eating too many calories, you gain food from gaining the wrong kinds of calories 1800 calories of nutritional dense foods versus 1800 calories of junk foods is not the same Comment from : mstfleur77 |
WW explains that the likelihood of someone gorging on zero point foods to a point that it interferes with weight loss is so unlikely that it isnt worth worrying about I mean - who binges on plain greek yogurt or non marinated grilled chicken? Comment from : marionette |
I'm going to assume they don't think you're going to eat every freaking zero point food at once, every single day this is kind of dumb, lol Comment from : BooDotBoo |
This is a lousy way to promote your program Maybe you should think about changing tacticsputting down WW isn't working from the comments I've read Just saying Comment from : H Cribb |
Hahahaha! Comment from : Amy Z |
It workswithout a doubt! And, it's so much easier than figuring out calories on a calorie deficit I've tried both ways & Keto WW wins every time Comment from : H Cribb |
Lost 20 pounds since I started Comment from : Sadetrica Dennis |
The program works This is dumb Comment from : Martha M |
I lost 64 lbs two years ago with ww and kept it off Back for another 20 I can eat large amounts of food on this program and still lose Comment from : Samanntha Swεεtnεss |
This clearly demonstrates that calories is not the only factor in weight gain/loss I've lots a lot from WW and I assure you I eat ALL the time Don't knock it til you try it Comment from : Son of Light |
Honestly, you are supposed to eat all the points they give you daily Plus, if you are exercising, you need to eat the weekly points they give you as well For me, if I eat in a healthy manner , I can't eat very many zero point foods because the points I get for the day is a lot of food The fact that I also track my calories on my fit bit my daily calorie intake is normally 1400 calories The program works if you follow it and eat mindfully Comment from : Debis Rusty Brush |
Lol the point system is based off of a mix of calories, macros, fiber, sugar it's not that 0 point foods "don't count" its more that they are a low calorie high protein option WW is about teaching you to make better decisions and Long lasting healthy good habits Comment from : ACDC ROCKS |
They do count… blueberries count, strawberries count, oranges count… why try to say something is misleading by being misleading… Comment from : Sydbo0 |
Thart sucks package food you have is not zero points For one the yogurt is 2 points Comment from : TheMusicalHarmonee |
I’m confused is this an advertisement for WW? Because I just signed up after this reel Comment from : Dione Newman |
I don't really see the appeal over counting calories You're still making every meal a strategic and calculated event You're still on an app all the time trying to figure out what you can and can't have throughout the day Why not know for sure exactly what you're putting in your body? Just seems like the surest approach to me Comment from : The CTK 1000 |
I joined ww and have lost weight The things on the table are not all 0 point foods Comment from : Gail Kerr |
Amen! Someone finally addressing the ridiculous “zero points” concept with an actual functioning brain! Comment from : SCF |
Bc u never will eat those food loke that No one craves those foods Comment from : Lady J |
Lmao I ate a shit ton of 0 point foods for breakfast until my portions gradually got smaller Now I have more control over my binge eating because I learned stuffing my face beyond fullness did not actually feel good A skinny woman as ignorant as you keeps me on the program even more 😂 Comment from : wallflower |
I'm here for the comments Comment from : Enrico Incarnati |
LOL Comment from : Enrico Incarnati |
Wait, 😂 I see You want to sell your own program 😅 stop bashing other programs If yours is better, let it stand on its own merit This style is unbecoming and a turn off Comment from : J q |
This is a perfect example of not understanding obesity Changing the mind and understanding that it’s okay to eat truly healthy foods Raw fruits and vegetables are healthy for you Comment from : J q |
My mom lost 100lbs on weight watchers back in 2005 and has kept it off still to this day! It definitely works, because you focus your meals around zero point foods which are nutrient dense and build your meal from there It completely changed how she eats Comment from : Bailey |
i didn't loose any weight on ww because of this - i went back to tracking calories and macros and started losing weight again Comment from : kat |
Its to encourage healthy eating If you look at lean bodybuilders, this is what they eat almost every single meal Chicken breast, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, and eggs Don’t be dumb Comment from : C Arrow |
Actually this has Never made sense … people who have tried WW and taken it literally like this usually fail They actually mean to pick a zero point food and build a recipe or meal around it Keeping within the points you are allowed for the day Comment from : Glenna Martin |
WW is not for overeaters and volume eaters I lost my weight on the Green Plan and was quickly gaining it back I quit this new plan I am tracking macros and calories and is shocked at my caloric deficit No wonder I was gaining weight brHowever WW taught me about food choices, mindset and a healthy lifestyle Take from WW what works for you and ditch what doesnt Comment from : Sherry D |
Literally left out the sentence that says zero point point foods are to build a foundation of a meal There's a link that explains it The app, community and coaches explain all this as well Zero point foods are a base Comment from : Crystal Saiz |
It works I've lost 20 lbs and my sister lost 80 lbs! It teaches healthy eating and promotes a healthy lifestyle Of course there are people who are going to use it for a "quick fix" weight loss program and go right back to their unhealthy eating habits prior and gain back all the weight, but I would say most people learn the long game strategy of WW is instilling those healthy eating habits Also, no way is anyone going to eat 2000 calories of chicken or fruit or anything like that in a day A lot of WW members track calories too on a separate app just for fun and usually find that they stay under 2000 calories even with eating more of their zero points foods Comment from : C G |
Try to eat too many calories of chicken breast and apples I dare you Comment from : Christina Hayes |
Zero point foods in moderation Comment from : lynne osborne |
The thing is that the leaders that I've gone to from Weight Watchers have always said, "Measure everything and It's zero points but it's not zero calories" I take what they said to heart because all 3 have kept the weight off for more than 10 years a piece Comment from : Veronica |
I lost alot of weight using their zero points but it's still moderations! Comment from : HowdyGirl |
I don’t like this at all… I have been on WW for 3 weeks and lost 13 pounds so far… 0 point foods are great foods that fuel your body to make you feel full and have more energy Before WW if I was hungry for a snack I would grab a handful of pretzels… which isn’t great Now I can grab a 0 point food like apple slices and feel more satisfied I feel so good grabbing a 0 point food bc it’s satisfying not using my points and I’m making a healthy choice I’ll give you a great example of how ppl use 0 point foods… I love Banzo noodles and I’ll portion out my noodles and my sauce right? I’ll maybe use 10 points for both However, I know I want a beefy dinner… so I’ll add a few ounces of chicken in with my pasta instead of using more noodles to feel satisfied However, chicken is 0 points so of course I’ll go for more chicken than noodles in my dinner What’s wrong with that? Nothing! It’s teaching you to choose better foods Comment from : Ashley Maier |
I think WW tried to do a bit of psychology with this By saying you can eat as much as you like, makes most boy want to eat as much VS if somebody says you can't eat it, makes you want it more Comment from : Vannesa Marie |
This video is very ignorant and spreading misinformation Yes, popcorn is zero points when it’s PLAIN with no fats Only chicken breast is zero points not the thigh or other dark meat This zero point system establishes a healthy relationship with food because when I was calorie counting I would go crazy having to track the fruit and veggies I was eating even though I know they are so good for my body Eggs are also an amazing food to enjoy! If you know you know but obviously this video shows those who don’t Comment from : Jazlyn Hawkins |
Calories are dinosaur science Comment from : Work InProgress |
The zero point foods are not as calorie dense as the higher point foods So watermellon is zero points because it is mostly water eggs are zero points because they are 70 calories and a good source of protein The goal is to not eat as much as zero points as possible, but change the food choices to eat more low calorie foods that are packed with good nutrients and less junkfood I shouldn't eat 20 eggs, but I can eat 6 and get good protein I shouldn't eat a giant tub of popcorn, but I can eat a few cups of it Its a lifestyle change to make healthier choices Comment from : LacyDragon |
Lost 50 lbs 4 years ago Important to count points and be active daily Comment from : Brown Sugar |
My app counts flavored oikos Greek yogurt as 2 points Comment from : PeaceBeStill |
zero point foods don't mean you can over eat them smh Comment from : Anthony Bernard Family |
The point is that nobody is going to overeat the things on the zero point foods list Okay, maybe one person in the universe will be an anomaly and overeat chicken breast or oranges The majority of us will not Comment from : -summerxf3iry- |
It makes sense to me because I’d have to be really hungry to overeat any of those foods lol It’s nonfat Greek yogurt, air popped popcorn etc You add point when you try to make any of them taste good Comment from : Cherie E |
Hunny I lost 15lbs using WW with zero point foods Don’t knock it Comment from : yellow girl |
Alr be like -it’s 0 points but I quit cause to few calories smh Comment from : sukybasa savage |
I can’t tell if your trying to be funny here, but I’m two weeks in to weight watchers and I’m down 15 lbs Comment from : C F |
WW does not workperiod Comment from : John Smith |
WW told me to work out and I only ate 1000 a day and I was starving Could not keep it up They also say you can eat all the fruit you want WRONG Comment from : John Smith |
