I want to be a stay at home mom with my 1 and 3 yr old Planning on paying off my last car by September of this year Might work part time 1-2 days a week while my husband is home but not sure if it would be too much work We already stopped a lot of spending Became Christians so stopped buying unnecessary stuff including makeup fast fashion alcohol etc I just want to have some spending money I am also afraid my husband and I won’t have healthcare But I really want to raise my kids myself Too much bad influence out there in daycare I need encouragement

I have a chase credit card and I charge absolutely everything and anything I can on it because I get cash back Chase has given me nearly $700 over the years just for using it So much money you’re missing out on if you can control your spending and never go over your set budget Which it sounds like you’re strict already and would do fine with this - I’ve never personally been in debt a day in my life Curious about your thoughts on this?

I have been a SAHM for most of my 23 yrs of parenting, and 20 yrs of marriage Only my first went to daycare, some time when I was a single mom, my 2nd was babysat for a few months I couldn't do that anymore My husband adopted my son and he always wanted a SAHM as the mother of his children We have 10 kids now, and there were some very poor years there But we made it until he found a career that paid what we needed to have more kids brIronically, my first is the only one who has major problems And I've parented them all about the same brKids don't want "quality time", they want quantity brNow, my MIL was a working mom, way back in the day when it wasn't popular Thank God tho, cause she was a HORRIBLE mother Daycare saved him So, IMO if a woman is not dedicated to her kids, she needs to find those who will be, which could be family, friends, or daycare workers who are passionate about their jobs brAt any rate, even tho I have more experience than most, I know I haven't "arrived" yet But, I do my best with what I know, what I can learn, and I evolve as needed brCommitment to ones spouse and to ones kids is how this can be successful

This is exactly how my husband and I live We use the envelope system too Our home is paid off We drive older cars and have a small grocery budget I make most things from scratch We garden and preserve our food And this coming fall, I am going to begin homeschooling our two children This is the best life I can imagine living, and people always say they wish they could do it too, but they aren't willing to make the sacrifice It is possible Great video!!

I LOVED this video I hope to be a stay at home mom one day so bad! I work at a daycare now and It's so heartbreaking to see parents drop off their kids for 8-12 hours I don't want to miss one thing from my kids! I also highly agree with what you said about why we feel we have to give our kids everything for them to be well off I babysit a little boy and girl who have EVERYTHING but have behavioral and emotional issues because they simply do not see their parents enough :( it's so sad Thank you for this video and sharing your tips! This is true I grew up poor, and I don't need a flashy smartphone, tons of clothes, or a bunch of excessive material things Those things only give me a temporary high Family and memories give me permanent happiness When I was in high school, while most of the other kids had iphones, I had a cheap, small, LG trackphone with no camera, but I was content! I don't have cable, just the internet I don't have a smartphone, no tv, but I love it, since I stopped watching tv at the age of 15 lol

I adore this! this is what my husband and I keep saying I just quit my job as a teacher to stay home with my baby We looked right after he was born and thought there was no way to make up the 1,000 a month deficit that we would have if I ended up staying home but by changing up our health insurance a bit and becoming a one car family we have been able to make it work! We don't feel like we are going without either We know how blessed we are to have this opportunity and we are more than happy to make the sacrifices needed! We also talk about how the only thing your kids need is YOU! Thanks for sharing!

I love everything about this My husband and I made the decision when we were married that I would stay home when we had children Neither of us have regretted a single moment of that He is taken care of because I am here to prepare meals, wash clothes and keep things in order Our kids are better off for it because I am here to teach them morals and values and spend time just loving them It definitely can mean taking drastic measures though When our first child was born and I stopped working, for us it meant moving into a place we could afford on one income, cutting out things like cable, and buying things used when we needed them brOne of my biggest pet peeves is when people say "I would love to be a stay at home mom, but we're not fortunate enough to afford that" I cringe, because we weren't fortunate either it took hard work and getting our priorities in the right place
