I believe piaget belongs to constructivism cognitivism is rather related to the work of chomsky who maintains that children learn language by decoding the language through grammar piaget says that learning is a self process that evolves through relating new to old learning blocks or scheme schematas social constructivism is more about the interpersonal dimension of learning and intrinsic factors within the learner himself or herself unlike behaviourists as Vygotsky Bandura are the proponents of social learning in which learners learn through observation and immitation of adult behaviour the bobo doll experiment is a clear indication that kids replicate the adults behaviour so Bandura puts forward a model of learning observation immitation and modelling which is in this case learning finally there is connectivism in which the research for information and the communicative dimension of automated software and applications and video games can lead to some sort of learning to me it's active and experiential learning blended together looking forward to u r feedback Comment from : @englishazzouzia8105 |

It should be clear that there is something wrong when four learning theories are offered Science seeks only one explanatory theory; would we be happy with four theories of gravity? We need a more comprehensive view, likely a combination of behaviorism and cognitivism All learning is observed via behavior, there is no such thing as mental behavior, though we do process information with our brains Social interaction plays a huge role in human learning, and so a larger theory must in encompass social interactions Vygotsky suggested we learn from observing, mimicking, and interacting with others, which is not learner centered, nor does it require being self led If the source of our knowledge is others, no knowledge is being "constructed" Connectivism, like constructivism, is not a learning theory in that is provides not explanatory principles I can be ignored Comment from : @robotczar |
|
That was so helpful thank you, it would've been better if you let us get hold of a copy of the visual model that you used for reference I had to get back to the video multiple times stopping it to read each part so I can write about it in my research Comment from : @JosephFunChannel |
