Thank you so much for sharing your experience I hope you continue to be a source of information for those of us interested in small time farming The business part of it is very important I'm planning on starting a similar venture and the farm will need to pay for itself if I'm to be able to do this My hubby is okay with the rat race and with really young kids, we're already living on one income and able to save So the info you're sharing is so, so valuable, crucial even I grew up around cattle My dad is now gone and can't share the business side of things with me All I know are the daily chores lol Thanks for stepping into those shoes for me I can't voice my appreciation enough Comment from : Lara G |

I’m relocating to NC next year I find a herd of cattle to be therapeutically calming for me and I enjoy seeing them So I would like a herd on my propertybrbrCan A Hobby Herd Pay for Themselves brSay 30 Cattle or So?brbrOn this thought, I would like to know if it’s possible to get a small herd to at least pay their own way, that is at least break even on the cost of keeping them via the cattle themselves?brbrCattle Rancing for a LivingbrbrMy second thought is that if I could, I would really enjoy ranching beef cattle for a living I would appreciate pointers on:brbrIs it possible to do this with beef cattle alone, that is without getting into dairy?brHow to get started?brHow many cattle needed to earn a sustainable living?brHow many acres for said amount of cattle? (Carrying capacity)brbrI’m serious about this desire and would appreciate some real kind supportive feedbackbrbrThanks Comment from : quincy baker |

I just pooped my pants at a concert cause the seats were so high up and scary I don't wanna leave home ever again! unless its to a local bar for some live music in a tall bar stool lolbrMy girlfriends mom is back and forth on offering us her land, if she doesn't want to give it to us i'll find something better :) but the grand plan is to farm! We want animals (I want cows) and greenhouses, we want to also create a lot of art and id be nice to bake up some of the product! brThe only thing is idk if im allowed to bake the food and sell it I hate laws, theyre just here to make it impossible for me to see the bigger picture Do you know where to look to find out the legal buisness that goes into selling farm products? and also any advice on how to find customers for product when you think you're a loser (whos gonna buy a cow from me lol, imma city boy, why would they trust me even if its the only thing I've wanted for the last 3+ years!!!!!) Link in this video description of your book is advisable Also formating as an Ebook would give you a new revenue stream for small investment $699 price would net you $485 and you'll be surprised that 5 to 6 of those buyers will go on to order your paperback With your warm calming voice you could also make your own audiobook By the way the Amazon rank of your book publishe in 2019 is still very good Congratulations on writing such a well received book Comment from : Raymond Caylor |

Hello pete great channel given that you have a lot of livestock and farm business videos I was wondering if you could do a video outlining the legal aspects of starting a farm and what you had to do to go tax exempt and such I'm also in New York 3-4 hours from you I live in Chautauqua county so I figured maybe your information would be accurate because we live in the same state but it's an idea for another video I would like to go legit so I can write some things off and I'm not sure how to go about doing it thank you very much and great job Comment from : Hilltop Depot |

Excellent content! In a few years we expect to transform our long term rental property on 4 acres of tropical rainforest into a live on micro farm with a couple of eclectic ohana cottages open for vacation rental guests In the process of researching our optionsplanning on developing permaculture type orchard areas considering ducks and other poultry along with a few Idaho pasture pigs or possibly dairy goats These are the hard honest questions we find ourselves talking about I am also a Joel Salatin fan Aloha😃🌈🤙 Comment from : Thomas Reto |
