Thank you for this helpful content I believe I lost an investors interest when asking for too little of an investment My tech start up didn't require a lot of start up capital,so I thought So, the investor was turned off because he was seeking to invest in companies with a minimum of 1 M I was only asking for 50k Oh snd yes,I always would ask my attorney,patent search person,tech developer and investors to sign an NDA and a non-compete agreement Thanks for the lesson

Really awesome video! Great to hear directly from actual investors what they think Nothing surprising here but I'd underline the "quick flip" advice - investors are looking for companies that can become HUGE and the founders are in it for the long game So while most investors are probably looking to get their money back with 10-100x multiplier after 5-7 years, a founder who thinks they'll make a quick exit after 2-3 years doesn't sound committed to building something big

Thank you for doing this video and placing it on YouTube I was a major bank lender for thirty years and sold and purchased huge pools of loans on the secondary markets The first thing we learned was, remove all personal emotions and feelings from the transaction That is not the case with non-institutional investors It is unregulated and all based on moods, emotions and personal feelings Furthermore, there's zero transparency and the majority of investors have no money or any real experience running a business brMy advice to anyone starting a business is to first get out and work for many small and large companies and learn as much about them and the people running the businesses as possible RESEARCH RESEACH RESEARCH! - Get at least twenty years of work experience first Plan your business for seven to ten years before you begin the climb I have nine years of planning in my business and am now raising the 35m in seed that we need If you try and wing it, it flops! Never borrow money before you are sure you can scale fast and pay the money back within two years! A great ROI is 10x and hand over 20 equity graciously😁

Purely one-sided video My takeaway from this video is that VC investors live in their own world They want an entire team with years of joint experience, but not already committed to a successful long-term venture (huh?) So a team that failed in another venture, but in a "successful way" They want to feel trusted by not signing an NDA, but you must prove that you are worth their time by divulging your entire business plan and any "secret sauce" you have brThey want to invest in a business that does not need them to launch or grow -why would a startup give you a piece of their company if they do not need your money? brWe live in an era of real-time systems but they need to take their sweet time (months at least) to feel "convinced" that you fit their unrealistic boxes 100 Unrealistic and one-sided expectations

I would love to ask you guys about 1 thing I with my colleagues are preparing a lot of information and strategy before starting investment meetings and the thing is we believe we have very beautiful and strong strategy which could lead us into multi million if not billion worths company in game market, the thing is we do not have a specific product which we can present, but we have some IPs from small developers with which we want to work on So my question is: is it possible to achieve positive results if we have strong strategy and vision without ready product/prototype product?
