Thank you so much for this message Rich It is so true that we can have the joy of learning new things and watching ourselves get better as we practice I’m 75 now, and having taken up Tai Chi about six years ago, I am now a professionally qualified instructor Can’t play tennis worth a darn any more, and a few other things are getting a bit rusty, but I have the huge satisfaction of seeing my ukulele skills growing a little bit every day as I practice, my Tai Chi gets better all the time, and I am taking a diploma course in Egyptian Hieroglyphs I teach Tai Chi as a volunteer at a senior centre and learn ukulele from another volunteer at the centre, and she learns Tai Chi from me There is so much satisfaction to be had from learning new skills, and possibly even more from sharing your skills with others wanting to learn

I learned clarinet in elementary school, and did choir and musical theater in high school So I have a certain amount of musical background However, those are all formal group musical activities The great thing about the ukulele is you can pick it up and bang out just about any song you want I spent several moths travelling the world after college I can only imagine how a ukulele would have enriched that experience and helped me connect with strangers Maybe next time LOL It's never too late!

Rich, thank you for sharing your story Your channel was the first one I accessed when I was looking for baritone ukulele information and you inspired me I had my ukulele for a while but hadn't done anything I'm left handed and my friend changed the strings for me, it's perfect and I'm already learning a few chords I'm 65 years old and took piano lessons for 5 years in my 40's, I struggled with that but enjoyed it The baritone ukulele is the instrument for me, love it!
