i went to the 9/11 memorial, and i got to touch the survivor tree they have some really chilling things in there, such as a photo of a bloody seatbelt from an airplane, an actual airplane seatbelt, parts of the plane, and more i really recommend going

I remember when I got to visit the site back in 2018 the survivor tree was in bloom I was confused at first why the tree was blocked off compared to others until I found a bag in the gift shop with a picture of the tree and the name next to a picture book about the trees story The librarian at my elementary school had read that book to us at some point, and my mother had bought the book for her second grade class to use when teaching classes on 9/11 While I'm not a big fan of the gift shop at the museum, I did buy that bag because something about the image of the survivor tree stuck with me I still have it today While I'm too young to have any memories of the event, being only a year old when the towers fell, I will never forget what happened that day or the people who were lost

Many people around the world were shocked and saddened by the attack on NYC But none more than New York and New Jersey people We were completely wrecked Devastated The sadness was deep and shattering Especially because most people either knew someone or knew people who knew someone who was killed And so many responders, especially police and firemen, were killed It seemed like everyone in the New York area was personally touched I don't know if I'll ever get to see the memorial in person, sine I'm old and not very mobile anymore I hope I do That site, like the sites in PA and Virginia, needs to be treated with respect and reverence I hope everyone remembers that when they visit
