This is very good advice I realized that I needed to take a step back and take a look at my behavior I am very compassionate and am always trying to help people or should I say fix people I had a friend who was always complaining to me about her family's business I expressed my opinion about a situation concerning my friend's niece Her niece was doing some very foolish things and I said to my friend that her niece should stop hooping and hollering, get a job, focus on her children and be responsible I meant for this to stay private between my friend and me but she went back and told her niece what I said Now they are both angry at me and my friend doesn't want to be bothered To be honest, the feeling is mutual brbr On the one hand, I needed to mind my own business but on the flip side, my friend didn't have to run back to her niece and say that I said that Also, she also shouldn't be talking about her family's business to others It taught me that I need to mind my own business It also showed me that my friend is not someone who I could confide in to keep some things private I wasn't "gossiping" about her niece However, I was expressing an opinion about someone's life which was none of my business Nevertheless, it had a good outcome because it showed me that I needed to mind my own business and it also showed me that someone who I thought was a friend and confidant was not a friend at all brbrValuable lesson learned because who needs a friend constantly venting out their baggage anyway?
