Do not get the Costco Citi VISA Costco for years advertised that this was a cash back card It is no longer a cash back card and for years they would give back the cash when the check was brought in Costco now offers only a store coupon that can only be used at Costco This is fraud and false advertising to tell people that they were getting a cash back card I have been a member of Costco since 1994 and I have always had good results but this is a game changer I no longer am a Costco fan They also have done this to their employees

I Paid my costco Visa bill 3 weeks ago I have proof from my bank but they refuse to reverse the late fee and interest This is not the first time I've had problems with them For the second time in 6 months the didn't recieve my statement In spite of that I still paid on time, but now they also claim they didn't recieve payment I've never had these problems with any other credit card or bank in the decades I've used them

You didn't mention the 3 back on travel and restaurants with the costco citi card To me if you shop at Costco this card is a staple to have in your portfolio

BoA Cash Rewards, for 2 - 35 cash back at Wholesale Clubs We converted the Premium Card, so have a Visa rather than Mastercard version of it

If you can rollover 529 college savings and retirement savings into merrill accounts to get enough balances to have Bank of America Platinum Honors status, the Bank of America Cash Back VISA (costco only takes VISA, so make sure to open a VISA, not a mastercard - if they don't have the VISA in the regular B of A Cash Rewards, there are other cobranded versions of the same card that are VISA) That card has no annual fee, a $200 signup bonus after $1000 in spend, and gets 35 cash back at Costco This is a solid no annual fee option if you bank with BofA / merrill

I know all banks are some version of terrible at times, but US Bank was down right devious and immoral with their practices They went out of their way with my account in the past to be awful I will never do business with them, unfortunately Love Costco though The gas prices alone pay for the membership

The Citi Costco card weathered the Citi benefits nerfing better than the other Citi cards did It lost only the trip cancellation/interruption protection and Citi Price Rewind If you want to take advantage of the 2-year extended warranty and purchase protection, the Citi Costco is the only Citi card with no annual fee (other than the Costco membership fee) to offer these The card also has no foreign transaction fees
