The best way to make this muscle memory is by far how⁰pthe "mindless" practice while watching TV or whatever But you won't learn this in a day and you won't just figure it out It takes a lot of practice cause you can't half-ass this or you'll look stupid slowly rolling it, or having to reset to do it again It takes practice to do this repetitively and smoothly The video above this one breaks down the roll into practice steps so you can practice the pinky stop and go right into another roll brI will admit that it feels pretty cool when you automatically do a knuckle without realizing it And when people say they wanna try it and they realize how difficult it is pretty cool too

I have large hands, so I use larger coins One thing I noticed that helps with this trick and using larger coins, is using "real silver" coins This are slightly lighter in weight than the non silver mix metal coins Anyhow, I use 90 silver Kennedy Half dollars This also benefits me since I can use the same coin for some of my other tricksonly have to keep 1 or 2 coins of the same sizes instead of multiple coin sizes etc

Im not bashing the video but I was a natural at this because I grew up in a poker family I can also keep rolling it through finger under the hand (this video skips that) but I have a hard time reversing the roll (rolling in the opposite direction) same concept but fingers are more clumsy that waybrbrHowever I personally recommend a bigger coin and lighter helps which is why poker chips are so much easier than coins but size matters most I really like the Silver Eagle American 1oz silver coinbrBut if you use a bigger coin it is dramatically easier on the finger tips instead of knuckles
