Great video, I'm still using my Philips Pronto TSU9600 on a daily basis, we just got a new TV (we're in January 2025) - and I installed ProntoEdit Professional 3 onto my Windows 11 laptop - it still works and the Pronto TSU9600 was recognised (after a PC reboot) and is reprogrammed again and back up to date (batteries still available from Amazon), I've also got an Inteset IReTV USB Ir Receiver on order from Amazon so I can add a Pronto page to control my Amazon Firestick via infra-red so we'll see how that goes brI still don't see anything programmable to rival the Pronto available to buy even now, but the Unfolded Circle Remote Three might be worth a look?

Hey Mark, Wow that TSU9800 is a beast! I've just seen a 9400 on the local auction site for $1 so was wondering if I should pick it up and have a go I too have a lot of audio equipment though not as impressive collection as yours! Was just wondering if it's still worth buying, it comes with a spare batt, all cabling and even the wireless sender! Is only having Wifi B and G an issue? And do you recommend it still? Cheers mate

Is it the Pronto you showed near the end that you use as your daily driver?brbrI really, really wanted the orignal Pronto remote back in the day, but as my system was an Orion portable TV with a Pro Logic mini system (I was 10 in 1999), it would have been pointlessbrbrNow married in our own home with A/C and several AV systems, I keep thinking about getting one of the Pronto remotes, even though CEC meant when my Harmony One hit the bucket, we weren't really in need of a universal remote

Can this be used for a Windows PC, as a remote control to launch software apps on the computer, and websites on the browser etc a bit like the elgato stream deck?

Video should have been at least half hour longer in my opinion, absolutely love my Pronto's, and still going strong today I had a brief flirt with the L5Remote which was looking promising on the iPhone, sunk many hours into building up some nice remote designs for all my equipment on but ultimately it just wasn't up to the task or as capable as the old faithful Pronto remote
