I’m on my third tub,first two were watkins( hot springs) now an aqua living Catalina…the struggle is real w vinyl covers, my new tub has a hard plastic clamshellI also live in beastly hot Texas but I have a solid closed roof metal gazebo that protects us and the cover from our ghastly blistering sun

The hot tub cover failure is from the crap PE they use to wrap the foam You can have cuts on the vinyl and it won’t matter much compared to the plastic deteriorating from underneath

4:13 This is incorrect It takes moee electricity to keep the hot tub at a higher temperature vs a lower temperature for any period of time Thus, turning the temperature down for any amount of time saves electricity The lower the temperature and the longer its turned down the more electricity you will save

I just bought a hot tub and I am new to all the things to do to keep it clean and how to keep the chemicals up on it on the lid can you put something on the under side to keep water from getting to it my lid or cover is like your new one Now that I have water in the tub no chemicals yet because there is dirt and grass and some light brown silky stuff in the bottom so until I get it cleaned I will wait on adding the chemicals but is there a small vacuum to clean the tub

Use tsp to clean your cartridges All these 'specialty' products are a rip off (I was in the pool/spa business for over 30 years) You don't need anti foam you need to change your water and stop using so many chemicals: sanitizer, ph, total alkalintity- that's all that maters

If you lower your temp when not in use it will Definitely NOT COST MORE :) You must not understand how spas work The heater/pump is either on or off Lower temp setting will mean it cycles on less often And spas don't use energy to COOL the spa :) [Not possible on almost all spas] But yes, as you said, you will not be happy because it takes too long to heat up and you wont save much

So it’s been over 100 degrees but your tub is over 104… if Tx isn’t 106 degrees plus it’s still going to regulate to the temp setting… if you’re over 104 you still need to investigate

Usually tubs have suction ports at the bottom to bypass clogged filters It is far more energy efficient to lower temperature when not being used

I have been using the Leisure Time Bromine tablets you mentioned in one of your videos and although a bunch were broken down in the bottle, they seem to work great The other day I tried some from Lowes the Clorox Spa 24-oz Spa Bromine tablets and I could not get a bromine reading at all until I shocked with Chlorine Shock? Is this normal? Thanks,
