I am wanting to change my major to art management from psychology and you're the first person I have seen say they are an art management major i am worried about not find work even though i am taking time to learn skills on how to make my own portfolio website etc while I take this semester off how did you overcome the fear of starting to hate art because of school or not being able to find work?

Buying a very cheap limited palette taught me quite a bit about colour theory Also, try disassembling the boxes, and measuring the angle between things to also figure out proportions

Thank you for your insight! I guess I never thought that art majoring could be so physically demanding, too I expected it to be creatively demanding, and mentally demanding due to suddenly coming up with art ideas on command, but the physical part completely escaped me Having a chronic illness that affects my energy levels, it makes me think twice about art school at the moment Thank you :)

That last piece of advice is spot on, stick it out! There are always things you won't like or that seem like a chore with any study or job but sticking it out can be very rewarding

What do you see yourself doing after graduation this spring? Residency or grant program? Studio work? Teaching? I'm well away from college years but I wish I had gone to art school after my bachelor's Those drawing skills and the discipline it builds would have definitely helped me But I went on to do marketing and that has been a good road for me
