Like you, I have lost over $500k total in the stock market over many years The last straw was when I chased a stock up and lost $43k in less than 2 minutes, (an amount that took me 2 years to save up) You said it best when you mentioned that you are trading against large institutions with trading bots and analysts Its like betting against the casino, the house always win The things I learned that has made a little bit of a difference is:br1) ALWAYS remember the foundation of investing: buy low, sell highbr2) NEVER chase a stock that's running up because you never know if you're buying into the reverse br3) Watch and wait patiently for the perfect setup, let the trade come to you br4) Dont invest more than you're willing to lose on any one single trade and dont "put all your eggs in one basket" no matter how much you believe in the stock br5) ALWAYS take profit and stick to your entry and exit strategies, there will always be other opportunities br6) Avoid using any type of stop-loss on a long position It sounds crazy but trust me, there are so many reasons br7) DCA (Dollar Cost Average) only in long positions and only when the drop is more than 10 on a stock you believe in (with good fundamentals)br8) ALWAYS do your Due Diligence br9) Never buy or sell out of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) It now becomes an emotional trade, which is the same as gamblingbr10) Buy only on Red Days and sell only on Green Days

Of course, those swings are tempting You feel like you can make some money in there, right? Don't do it If you don't know what you are doing, don't do day trading, you are going to just lose money A much easier and practical strategy is picking stocks with strong fundamentals, like from Magnificent 7, like NVDA, AAPL, MSFT AMZN, and count on the fact that these stocks may go down 20 when some crash happen (covid, s**t) but they are going to recover In the long term, these stocks are going up anyway So just DCA regularly with possibly double down when these stocks happen to go below their 20 yearly high DCA is the name of the strategy And the "double down" part is the only act that you can do in the aftermath to improve the performance of your portfolio DCA is the most simple strategy, perfect for beginners, you have almost no decision making to do, no stress, just allocate regularly your savings into these stocks and check that their fundamentals are still ok So, in short, pick the good stocks (maybe just 3), DCA and double down when needed Good luck man!

Losing money means that one of your parents wont be killed with fake cancer, and that you will not develop strange neurological disorders if you are ready to make money daytrading get ready to do it on a boat or on a plane, on a private island or at an isolated house, or in a car moving all the timeIF, you dont do that, you are DEADand if they cant get to you, they will go after one of your relatives (causing fake disease etc) to get their money back
