US dollar is not the problem sir If you did Economics you'll know that taxes "contract" the economy Formal businesses are now faced with high operational costs due to taxes and these will be passed to the consumer, hence why their goods are expensive On the other hand, the same businesses are competing with informal tuck-shops that don't pay any taxes, hence why their goods are cheaper

You are completely missing the point, my brother You know for an economy to function well there should be a stable environment in terms of politics and governance in our case now, majority of the youths a digging for gold and other minerals which are all illigally exported and all the earning lost Chinese people a busy mining and smuggling minerals as well as laundering money Legitimate businesses like OK are forced to sell in Zig but their expenses are in USD which there can not get from the banks Its not that people are not working hard, they actually wa t to work tgats why they are going to several countries to work In Zim, as it is, even if you work 24/7 in the current environment, you will still lose The political situation has to mature enough to create confidence in the country, right now people know something can drastically change for worse at any moment hence they are afraid of this situation

People's spending habits have not changed at,that is evidenced by the thriving informal market, u mentioned how u picked a paper bag worth of groceries for $80usd ,why would any sane person go to a retail that clearly charges more The second thing you should know is that people have no savings and the few who do keep money at home because bank have forgotten their mandate of being money lenders and instead sustain themselves from charging people bank charges USD is not the problem, the problem are the policies in place and taxes Companies are closing because of the very harsh economic environment During rtgs there were sin taxes like sugar tax or taxing of punters
