I don't think Samsung users only buy Samsung because they hate Apple I think they would buy any Android device depending on which one performs best according to them, and hate Apple because it does the same thing more or less while being more expensive, annoying, and advertising itself as the best of the best, with customers jumping to defend silly ideas

Are there researches on the ethics of allowing brands (and by extension, big businesses) to have such big influence in individuals persons’ lives? Questions like should people even form part of their identity around (over) consumption? How society can disallow businesses from occupying every single facet of society itself? Are closer to achieving what Wall-E had taught us about consumerism (BnL literally ran the entire world)?
