I have a question to ask Of all the boxes of machine-rolled half dollar coins that you've bought from the bank(s) you go to, what percentage of them contained silver? The other day, I went to every single bank in my neighborhood and one neighborhood over, and of the $500 in half dollar rolls I got from the banks, I only found 2 silver half dollars that were 40, no 90 from 1964 or earlier In all likelihood, they weren't machine rolled, but it has me wondering if I would have better chances of finding silver coins if I ordered boxes with machine-rolled half dollars

I had the strangest Half Dollar box this week Every ender on both sides was bicentennial half dollar but no other bicentennials were in the rolls Most rolls were made up of single years like 1972 or 1974 with a bicentennial on each end They were mainly older coins but no silver a few 2021's Very strange box of bank wrapped coins

I like these half dollar hunts My half dollar collection is sorely lacking I've got a penny typeset from 1812-present, a dime typeset from 1833-present, a complete nickel typeset, a quarter typeset from 1892-2003, and even odd stuff like three and two cent pieces, but my half dollars are limited to an 1893 Columbus, a walker, a Franklin, and some JFKs

My housemate pays his partial rent every two weeks when we are on the way to grocery shop I always go into his bank and always ask if they have halves In the past two months I have gotten 1 40 and 1 NIFC Fun stuff
