I have a stamp collection I inherited and I would certainly like to sell it Anybody might be interested in checking it out hit me up as one my grandpa he got into taking care of it from early to 1900s in the mid 1900s a lot of it brOne from late 1880s and a variety of other stuff from different states different countries, different events and oh my god all kinds of stuff, he passed away the age of 96 in 2008 Matter of fact, he passed away on his birthday December 12, 2008 He’s born birthdate was 12/12/12

Ones out of a blue moon someone will post their entire inherited collection on Facebook marketplace for $20-50 ones was able to get a rare blue 5 cent in excellent condition that I was later was able to sell for 5k

I inherited a stamp collection, and I looked up prices on the Mystic web site The retail value was around $3000 So I sent them pictures and asked if they were interested They said they did not even want them Apparently there is a glut of stamps on the market, but dealers like Mystic still charge high prices if you actually want to buy them I have decided to sell a couple of the higher value stamps on eBay, but the rest are going in the trash I just do not have time to mess with it, and I have no desire to store them for "later" I think that collecting gold coins is a better hobby Gold will always be money, and it is easy to value

I remember going to the New Orleans Stamp and Postcard Show A lady and her gentleman friend had come to the show to speak to the head dealer who at that time ran the show The lady's friend said, she just inherited a collection The lady in her drawl said Uhm not into stamps I'd rather it go to someone that lacks this stuff The dealer looked her over binders and loose covers He shook his head and was like this isn't worth much The covers he looked through them and was like They made a million of these AR best youre looking at hundred and [I forget the figure] but he kept looking and told her, How about I give you 200 for the whole thing They were like SOLD, dropped the binders, grabbed the money and ran outta there so fast!

I was surprised to see there are a few more valuable than 25cents used, or mint Few and far between, but can base a collection around the time periods And not try to collect every stamp Collect the more interesting and well printed There are stamp volumes that give estimated values, or computer programs But with the programs be sure to read the details Dont just look at the picture The program i have, shows same picture for different colors, etc Be careful read it all I still get excited when i think about my stamp from Hungary that has a bit value No overprint on the moon Take care

My great-grandfather really loved collecting stamps and we have had his stamps for a while I am only 14 but plan on going through it the eBay way:) The first day I looked at them, I thought I had an 1867 Washington "Z" grill before I knew what a grill was He has the citation stamp album and a separate united states album (including bunches of envelopes of loose stamps) I have been going through by country and found a few worth value so far Thanks again for the video!
