This is beautiful I’m a saver a weaker earner(could be doing so more I feel but am tuff on myself!) and a grateful humble giver My mother and father gave and gave and I never understood its part of the 3 keys to the individuals basic money system and spirituality I loved this to break myself down honestly! I initially did the lump sum buy, 125k into SCHD, 75k TSLA, 25k VYM, 25K VUG Now I'm dca buying roughly 2k every week of whatever is on sale, and looking to add more tech positions to my portfolio I'm looking to hold long term 15 - 20 years, so hopefully my lump sum buy in doesn't bite me in the ass long term

My parents, who are very well off, have made it clear to their children (myself and my twin) that any money they leave behind will be split three ways One part to me One part to my twin One part to charities of their choice My twin and I both have advanced degrees (which our parents contributed to), and barring some disaster we will be more than capable of providing for ourselves I think their approach of considering their "responsibility" to society on equal terms as their children, as completely warranted I plan on a similar strategy when I have children There's nothing like giving a hand to the stragglers once you have made it to the top

Have been watching many of DR videos now both on his channel and also on other people channels, mostly people who "used to love" DR but now they do not because And what most of them say is that he is too much hardcore, he is too tough with people calling who are in trouble, etc or that his ideas are too much "one size fits all" or that they are not "up to date" and so on Well watching this video it is clear that DR does not preach "one size fits all" methods , but that instead he clearly says that "once you are out of the mud" of serious debt and once you are financially stable, well there is room for self rewarding DR preaches GOOD SENSE , he basically preaches to USE THE BRAIN The more i watch his videos and the more i agree with him, and so far none of the "haters" has convinced me of their theories
