May I add something I have been experiencing? brbrI'm not sure how to say this but watching your videos, taking photographs, and oddly enough, attempting to create photo-worthy scenes in the game 'Cities Skylines' has shown me that HOW you see the world matters brbrSo I say, you are doing more than showing us how to see a photo's potential, but showing us how to see the beauty that is present and unnoticed I think that when you see the world with this lens, you get to see beauty as if you were color blind and suddenly see a wide range of colors brbrI hope this resonates as it seems moot, but for me, it has changed my life I do not take photographs for others I take them so I can SEE the beauty that was always there and I did not noticebrbrIt is an exercise in finding the beautiful

Thank you for this video as it has reassured me that I am not some kind of `photographic freak' haha Most of what you have talked about explains my photography perfectly My friends say I am able to find subjects with some kind of sixth sense from viewpoints they would never consider I once laid flat on my stomach to capture a bent and twisted tin can only to be asked by a passer by if I needed an ambulance! I have only just found your channel and must say I have enjoyed everything I have seen so far which is so refreshing from the norm so thank you again

Was camping in Dorset last year,at our regular site,and sat outside,as the sun rose in front of usPicked up one of my cameras,and was trying to get an"arty"photoMy wife looked at me,and said,"look at the light on those thistlesI Laid down in the grass,and took backlit pictures, with phone and camerasI use one of those pictures as a screen saver,and the best bit is,it was taken on a 20 year old,5mp Minolta Dimage7Sorry for rambling,but have been a keen photographer for 45 years,and although you think"taken this,taken that"my wife's observation was spot on

I go on three mile walks in cities like Barcelona, Budapest, NYC and Newark, NJ If I walk with my wife, it becomes very purposeful and in spit of carrying two camera bodies and one lens that is 10 to 24 and another 70 to 300 I rarely get any seriously interesting photos If I go out by myself with the same to setups and no purpose, I can revisit things I noticed on the "purposeful" walks but couldn't stop to ponder I do somewhat better

Ha the good old days when we first started photography we would take images of everything and anything brNow I'm lucky if I do 1 click a month Never go out with something in the head but to lap up the atmosphere with diffrent light from day to day to suit the image

I have a "technical"question about aspect ratio: I see some photographers make their photos available in different aspect ratios (like 8x10 and 8x12" prints of the same photo) without "cutting" anything out of the photo They have borders around their prints of course but I don't think the solution is to change the border size By any chance you have already made a video about how to remedy to this? Thank you

A really great exercise in photography, is to choose a fixed focal length lens, and only use that for a day or so… some photos will blow your mind, most will probably fail, but you’ll learn nonetheless

I had a friend who once traveled to Jamaica for 4 weeks to visit her inlaws while there she managed to take 2 photos The only one I recall was one of a vine on a telegraph pole, and no, it was not a good photo at all I can go out into my back garden and take so many interesting photos but she goes 1/2 around the world and actually sees nothing

Taking a photograph is easy I know how to take a great photographs, I take dozens every week I can take as fine photograph with my cellular phone as somebody with very expensive camera Expensive cameras are not necessary
