The funny thing is that people have been falling for this scheme FOR CENTURIES Back in the 2000s, apparently African Immigrants to the capital city of my home-State were bnot/b pulling the Nigerian Scams on people via email, they were bminting money/b off drunks at city bars with the Black Money Scheme - people were losing thousands and thousands of dollars to this shit Instead of making out to be a farmers-market-style-sale, they would say that the chemical necessary to wash the money was bvery expensive/b - so they needed $50-$100K from someone in order to wash $$$ several million And people were legit falling for it - borrowing from family, stealing from work, cashing in retirement funds, etc
