They taught me in school that babies need a primary caregiver who is with them most of the time I’m not criticizing people for having to work But babies know if their caregiver is reliable and around most of the time, and they know if someone loves them or not It’s just not only about learning It’s about learning to love and therefore to be able to engage with the environment and to trust not any external adult, but yourself because your parents and you learned together how to be a family ❤ Obviously you can’t learn that in daycare no matter how good the daycare I watch kids a lot with nannies and they in my opinion don’t seem as happy relaxed and spontaneous as other kids (With moms or dads) And also it’s often a very long day for a child in daycare I used to work with two to five year olds Their parents did drop off at seven and pickup at four or five It’s a long day- I remember it myself from full day kindergarten and it’s too much for them Let them enjoy their childhood About nine to noon or one is plenty for a little kid
