I think I'm nearing the end of the road at my current company No bonuses, uncompetitive salary, and all the senior engineers around me are getting tossed around with insane project schedules I've had some great mentors here, but the MEP industry isn't a particularly lucrative place to be a ME I don't think I'd ever make 200k here unless I wanted to be the most stressed out manager of all timebrbrWent through a lot of personal growth in the past few years and I'm ready to start moving up the ladder again, my bank account isn't agreeing with my lifestyle at the moment

I just graduated with a master's degree in chemical engineering in Italy and managed to find an internsihp in the usa (boston) The money is good, at least compared to italian salaries, I was wondering how to invest my money as a beginner, I didn't want to just let it in my bank account which potentially loses value over time, but I'm a beginner on that since Italy (and I would say whole europe) is really behind in that aspect, we usually just let the money in the banks

It’s really refreshing as someone who’s about to graduate undergrad that I’ve subconsciously followed these steps Met many groups of people at school, worked super hard for two internships at the same company, got a job offer from them and have a name for myself I’ve even heard from friends at the company that in my position I was one of the best interns brbrI’m only about 1/4 of the way through the video but I hope the rest is what I was planning on doing brbrAlso I love the Porsche, I’m an aspiring ME looking to own some fun cars in the future

I know this video is old but hopefully I can achieve some insight I’m currently 22 years old and I have achieved my Associates and gained 2 years experience at a national bank; granted I was a customer service rep I gained some relevant skills I’m currently pursuing a Bachelors in Finance and Accounting but find it very difficult to land a relevant position in this career that aligns with what I want in my career early into my academics I’m curious if anyone has had a similar experience that could provide guidance or potential suggestions Thank you all God bless

I finished my masters in EE two years ago and am now working in commissioning If you’re studying EE and don’t know which EE-route to take, I can recommend this path Especially if the thought of slaving away in the office every day scares you Pay is good, the work is interesting and varied and you gain experience A LOT faster than working in the office If you are married with a family, this might not be for you, but if you’re single, go for it!

phd takes 3 years to do and it is kinda a must-have when working in R&D and you want to get those higher, senior positions Doing a phd with a company could be a great way to make more money, compared to doing it solely in academia

First step: don´t become an engineer It took me 5 months to get a job after my bachelor in vehicle engineering I didn´t even applied for this job, but I got snacked up by Apple for 55kbrEngineering is one of the most depressing, boring and dead end field you can go into Engineering is not tinkering around on interessting stuff like you would do in your spare time Its brutal office work involving politics and circle jerkingbrbrIf I could start again, I would drop out of school with 15 and start learning carpentery or become a car mechanic, do body work or become a HVAC technitian Thats were the easy money is Its simply not worth to go to university You will never make your money back I basically lost 200-300k just to get my bachelor

In addition, the only time you should leave a company after two years is when you realise you’ve reached your highest potential there Even if they are not paying you the most, you should stick around because you’re getting the experience You should be able to get some type of promotion every 2 years, that’s if you are grinding hard obviously

Seems the real trick is to work in America In Finland, with a masters you're lucky to get 45k/yr entry, meanwhile in the states you're getting 70k/yr entry with a bachelors
