Does anyone buy a Tissot or Seiko at full price? I've never paid more than half the "RRP" on them and frequently less than that even on end of lines It's not that they are bad watches but they are grossly overpriced for what you get Comment from : @thomas316 |

Not a big fan of homage watches unless,,,,,, the company making them is high end, you should say All high end dive watches look very similar, but watch guys never bash them Just bash the lower tier watches for have the audacity to make a nice looking dive watch as well The watch thing is such crap Buy and wear what you like, not what some watch guy on YouTube tells you is cool Comment from : @Bixll09 |

Great video, I like the way you put the reason why because that's totally relevant, a lot of people forget that Is that G-Shock a GM-5600 BTW? Comment from : @therealkellyiom |
Hamilton is not unidimensional, they make some of the most unique watches out there, especially the Jazzmaster skeleton! Comment from : @jas_bataille |
20 brands and you include armani and mvmt but not certina lmao Comment from : @Valmerix |
Just seeing Invicta on your list as a "must by", and Seiko and G-Shock on the list of watches to "avoid", I couldn't even watch your video! Comment from : @Another_User_Name_ |
I think Orient is not over Tissot and G Shock and some Fossil watches are pure class watches and Alpina is not so bad like this Comment from : @Jamal-gu5nw |
I think Citizen has moved above Seiko as of lately Comment from : @weasel9062 |

I once met a 94 year old retired watchmaker through work Obviously, I asked him his recommendation for a budget Swiss Watch Without hesitation, "Tissot!" Was his reply He'd only retired at 92 because he was finding it hard to see the parts! Legend Comment from : @sweetcorn1968 |
Nice to a tier list for us mere mortals! Pretty spot on list, though I'd personally rank Hamilton a little higher! Comment from : @RudyVisuals |
Timex should do more digital designs The Expedition Atlantis is probably my favorite digital watch ever, especially with the green LCD Comment from : @TheTrashStash |
personally putting tissot up one, tho I might be biased because my first swiss watch was a prx and I just got another Tissot, but for $400 for the quartz prx, the finishing and dial and history are just really unbeatable Sure other brands have a lot of history for cheaper, but tissot watches just feel quality in a way that you dont normally get around the pricepoint Comment from : @boxlad7583 |
Citizen is currently quite underrated for me, for an entry watch it is such a good value since the experience of the solar eco drive is really just a no-fuss watch No hiccups on it for the last 3 years So i feel like it is tied for me with Tissot as Tissot ties with its heritage and brand recognition While i noticed that my Tissot PRX automatic, i notice the power reserve got worse after the 1st year and had to have it serviced Comment from : @jakealexander6046 |
Lorus should've been in this rankingbrThey are a subbrand of Seiko use Seiko movements and are extremely affordable I would recommend Lorus watches to anyone who wants an automatic watch under 200€ Now, I would also recommend to spend a little bit more and get a Citizen or an Orient watch, but if 200€ is a hard limit and the person does not want to spend anymore, I think Lorus is the way to gobrbrPersonally I buy Lorus watches if I know I won't be wearing this style of watch a lot, but I still want it in my gollection, like a gold coloured watch or an orange dial Comment from : @maximilianmaier3950 |
I received my Victorinox watch a few days ago I'm very pleased with it Solid and quite heavy They say they are virtually indestructible-i can believe it Comment from : @daviebevan |
What about Vostok, Lorus, Pulsar or Zeppelin? Comment from : @sample3279 |
0 knowledge Comment from : @Harun_Komiser |

Tissot and Hamilton to Top Tier and Spinnaker to Would Buy tier There is no way Spinnaker is at the same tier with those brands They use NH35 for god sake Comment from : @atahanyldrm1926 |
I believe that you've done well in this ranking I have two suggestions to makebrbrFirstly, I think that Bulova should be in "Would Buy" because Bulova, to me, is actually a tale of two watchmakersbrbrFirst, there's "Boring Bulova" Boring Bulova is their lower lines that have mineral crystal and are otherwise technically unimpressive with common quartz movements Some look beautiful like the Marine Star but others look terrible like the Carvelle Sport These are the so-called "Mall Watches" They don't deserve to be in the "Avoid" category because they are still very well-made and easily eclipse the quality levels of brands like Daniel Wellington, MVMT and other fashion brandsbrbrWorking as a counter-balance to "Boring Bulova" is "God-Tier Bulova" God-Tier Bulova is so named because it's made up of Bulova's elite lines of watches like the Devil Diver, Lunar Pilot, JetStar and Precisionist They also tend to have sapphire crystals and are technically incredible also because of the God-Tier 262hkz Precisionist movement The Precisionist movement carries on the tradition of the Bulova Accutron, itself a God-Tier design For whatever reason, Bulova (and ONLY Bulova) can make a quartz watch with a smoother second-hand movement than even the most refined mecahnical and automatic movements from the great Swiss and German watch houses This makes them the best in the world at something and if you're the best in the world at something, you are automatically God-Tier brbrSome might point to Grand Seiko's Spring Drive also accomplishing this same feat but Spring Drive is more of a mechanical/quartz hybrid and it costs over $10,000 to own one In a way, God-Tier Bulova is to Boring Bulova what Grand Seiko so maybe it should be called "Grand Bulova" brbrBecause of God-Tier Bulova's upward pull against Boring Bulova's downward pull, I would say that Bulova deserves to be in "Would Buy" It can't be called "Pure Class" because there are some Bulova watches that I can only describe as some of the UGLIEST watches that I've ever seen There are even some Precisionist Bulovas that I consider ugly (the Icon comes to mind, it's unreadable) and that one Brown and Yellow JetStar (I realise it's trying to re-create the 70s but it's still gross)brbrMy other suggestion relates to Tissot which I believe should be be in the top-ticker-tier Their Anytime and Couturier models are incredible pieces for the price while their Gentleman and PRX models are some of the most beautiful and versatile watches currently on the market I don't think that I have EVER seen an ugly Tissot and I can't think of many watch brands that I can say this about Even when Tissot takes risks (like the Coultrier with the offset dial and small hands complication), their watches always look beautifulbrbrThe Seastar line is a bit weird because it's kinda similar to Bulova The Seastar 1000 is a beautiful watch and a great value but gets lost in the sub-$1,000 automatic dive watch market which also includes the Mido Ocean Star, Hamilton Khaki Diver, Bulova Devil Diver, Orient Kamasu and Seiko Prospex Sea (plus all of the microbrands) It's just too crowded therebrbrOn the other hand, the Seastar 2000 Professional is an absolute monster and is perhaps the best-value luxury dive watch in the world It offers 600m of water resistance (2000'), an engraved ceramic bezel, domed sapphire crystal over the dial with a flat sapphire covering the display back It also has an automatic helium escape valve (like the Rolex Sea-Dweller) and is an ISO 6245-certified deep diver It objectively out-specs more expensive divers (some FAR more expensive) from brands like Breitling, Christopher Ward, Glashutte Original, Longines, Mido, Omega, Oris, Rado, Rolex and Tudor It also has that stunning engraved chaotic wave pattern on its blue-to-black gradient dial that is one of the most beautiful that I've ever seen It even puts the Oris Aquis to shame when it comes to looks (and that's HARD to do)! Keep in mind that we're talking about a watch that costs less than $1,200USD brbrInstead of getting the universal adulation that it deserves, the Seastar 2000 often gets overlooked because of its 46mm size and its image of being just a beefed-up version of the boring Seastar 1000 When I first read about the Seastar 2000, I was shocked and amazed by its incredible beauty, insane specifications and unbelievably low price compared to its other Swiss contemporaries I had been wearing my Invicta Grand Diver #3049 (47mm) daily for about ten years at the time and was looking for something new (and Swiss) in that price and size category I researched the hell out of it, trying to find the Achilles' heel that made it only cost $1,100CAD (at the time) The Seastar 2000 looked too good to be true, but it wasn't brbrTissot deserves to be in the Top-Ticker Tier Comment from : @AvroBellow |
Great videos! Comment from : @mohammedraza1918 |
So he lied on the thumbnail to get the clicks 😔 Comment from : @basshead4204 |
Bulova and Tissot are both so close to pure class category Citizen is my personal favorite, so the Citizen Group watches I’m biased towards Eco-Drives over Seiko 5 Automatics for me Steeldive would rival Seiko if they cleaned up the logo Comment from : @CasioToCartier |
Top video brI'd put hamilton and seiko in the top tier brHamilton offers awsome value for moneybrGreat video👍 Comment from : @danielcustodio9650 |

Thanks you I was looking for something that’s good/great but affordable Comment from : @TB109 |
As a Seiko fanatic, I'd put them in god-tier class behind Casio and ahead of Orient I love these 3 brands so much as they put out really good-looking, value-for-money watches and it's really easy to build a collection with them, though mine is still small (Seiko 5 SNK23, Seiko SNKE49, Casio Duro 44mm, Orient Bambino Gen2 V2, Timex Weekender and the Tissot PRX Quartz) I will be letting go of my Weekender soon to make way for a Hamilton Khaki Field Comment from : @pentecost_ |
Why doesn't anybody add Movado on there brand rating videos? Comment from : @kirrus4781 |
I am missing Mido, Certina, Christopher Ward and some German brands on this list Comment from : @edebube |
