I've worked for Microsoft and Indeed as a recruiter and to be honest, as a Male, you should have a degree (there are some exceptions eg for very speciailzed programming languges) As companies are obsessed with DEI, they're taking lower qualified and less experienced Females, very often without degrees, to improve their DEI scores My old manager in Microsoft informed me she was told by a hiring manager to ignore Male applicants, and not to reach out to Males on LinkedIn and only to search for, and approach females So, if you're a white Male and want to work for a major tech company, you're basically f*cked, even with the best Bachelors/Masters in the world

I have similar experiencebrbrWhen the industry I worked in collapsed during the financial crisis is 2009 I lost my job and the ability to work in the industry I was educated for I needed any job and I noticed that if I removed my degree from my resume their was more interest for me from the job marketbrbrDo NOT go into debt for college It's not worth it And honestly consider if you want to go to college at all
