just got an MIS degree in may from a state school and i cant seem to find anyone intrested in allowing me to gain experience Ive had a year of an IT internship, experience with SAP, coding experince ive been applying to everything IT and Information Systems related around me My resume has been checked by several HR folks i know I've only gotten 2 real calls out of all my applications It's a terrible market

My advice to all people looking to get into the tech industry is to look for a tech recruiter or an MSP before getting certifications Often, the MSP will pay for the certification If you do get certifications, do ones that are more broad, like CompTIA As far as college, you will only need it for government jobs or management Do product-specific certifications if a job you are applying for uses that technology You can see this in the Job description This will set you apart if you are already certified in their tech stack Generally, never stop continuing your education with certifications once you have the job Part of being an IT professional is that you love technology and that love transfers to the knowledge you have or your willingness to get it
