This and your other video about quality in education are very interesting One observation, they seem to imply a different implicit definition for 'quality assurance' than in 'mainstream' quality management In fact, here, 'quality assurance' seems to have the overall meaning of 'quality management' ISO has a well-defined glossary for quality-related terms (e g ISO 9000) and it would be useful to compare and contrast the two sets of terms To me it already seems to be the case that within the field of education a different set of terms, or rather, a set of terms with different definitions, has been quite thoroughly established Nothing wrong with this inherently, but it is still unfortunate as it muddles up discussion between educational quality professionals and 'plain' quality professionals Like I constantly have to adjust when you say 'quality assurance' to understand 'quality management', since for me, 'quality assurance' has a more specific meaning than 'quality management', since I tend to work with the ISO concepts I would also exercise some caution when discussing certification, accreditation, etc vs quality management BTW, Kazan seems to be a wonderful place! But, aren't the winters very cold there? Спасибо!

I'm going to be a program reviewer in my country (Canada) and would love to know if you have any resources or tips for those who have to go onsite to different educational institutions and perform educational reviews (effective techniques for gathering information, ways to make people feel comfortable about the process, ways to connect with staff and students etc) Our training begins next week but I wanted to see if you had any suggestions Thanks again and all the best

Quality assurance in our school will be better if done regularly as part of a system But in reality, we only get to check these things whenever we go through accreditation process
