I grew up in an Islamic country, and these countries used to have very bitter ties with jews as a Christian the only exposure I had to Judaism was the Old Testament in the Holy Bible But now I have gotten to know more about Jewish culture, I hope I get to learn more about it

We are still in "bat mitzvah" season around my house My daughter already had her's, but there are still a handful of kids in her class that have theirs coming up And I agree about the invitations They are so beautiful My daughter's theme was Wonderland and it ended up coming out so amazing I was worried about it all because I made all the decorations myself (with my mom) I think the most stressful and the most fun, was shopping for her dress! LOL And buying her tallit That was when it really hit me that she's growing up That was my favorite part of the day, placing it on her and seeing all the photos of her wearing it I can't wait for the high holy days so she wears it again! LOL

My mom also kept all the invitations from my years of attending friends Bar and Bat Mitzvahs I recently weeded through them and they were INCREDIBLE!!! Your overview was so thoughtful ps Loved dinner dance parties when I was growing up too! Let's bring em back when it's time for our kiddos :)
