My great-great-grandfather fought in WWI and died in the trenches of Sanctuary Wood, Ypres, Belgium, on June 15, 1916 He was only 29, with three kids at home and even helping take care of his wife's little sister From what I know, he was an electrician, 5'7", and had red hair He was conscripted, and he asked to be demoted from Corporal to Private, maybe hoping he’d see less action (or maybe more, who knows what he thought)brbrHe was only in the military for about a year before he was killed He never got a proper burial, and his wife ended up remarrying a few years later I think about him a lot, and how quickly his destiny and his family changed His name was John Laney (412758) I hope he’s at peace God keep their souls

Let me know if I got this right Every country hates another country Some countries that don’t hate each other make an alliance Another group of countries that don’t hate each other (but each is hated by a country in the first alliance) feel threatened and they answer with making another alliance on their own Now that there are two great powers that are rapidly growing in political and military might they just search for an excuse to start a war because the two sides have a lot of hate relationships It’s more like several small conflicts that would lead to individual smaller wars but because of all the uniting everything got linked and formed one Great War of many conflicts And as the war is going each side recruits more countries that also have a negative relationship of one of the enemy countries
